Although we are creating this piece about the ocean and human waste, we are in no way perfect. Our jobs require copious amouts of paper, tape, and so much more that adds to the current state of our enviroment. In creating this piece we ensured that we avoided buying anything that couldn’t be reused and reused as much as we could. All of it will be recycled.
This Directed Study works as an experiment where during cue to cue rather than introducing the design to the performance, we are introducing the performance to the design. Led by two Production and Design students, Irene Weng and Jamie Sweeney, this piece invites the audience fathoms deep into the ocean to see what and who they can find there.
